For the first time during the republican period, the Vietnamese fled to Vietnam almost. The Khmer army said the Vietnamese were coming to Cambodia, they were sailing, but they had to swim, meaning tens of thousands of Vietnamese were shot along the Mekong River back to Vietnam. Some Vietnamese were aware that they were ready to flee to Vietnam, but some of them were not killed by the wheels of the Republicans.
The second time after the breakup of Democratic Kampuchea on January 7, Mr. Pol Pot evacuated the Khmer Rouge guerrillas stationed in the Thai provinces of Thailand to fight against the Vietnamese army. The Khmer Rouge said that we had come to Toul Sleng and there was no way to retreat, so only one of us had to beheaded by five Vietnamese soldiers. The final battle between the Khmer Rouge and the Vietnamese army in Pursat, Battambang, and Pailin, one Vietnamese army dead a day, no less than 100, for nine years from 1979 to 1988. 32,8,500, nearly 330,000.
In the jungle, after the shootings, the bodies of Vietnamese soldiers and the head of the Vietnamese army were decapitated by trees. Until Vietnam did nothing, the Khmer Rouge army ordered the Khmer people to clear the jungle in order to continue the Khmer Rouge, when more than 700,000 ordinary Cambodians lost their land and trampled the Khmer Rouge.
Even though the jungle did not win over the Khmer Rouge, it created a police force (Khmer people who did not want to be paid as Vietnamese soldiers) to pursue the Khmer Rouge because the Vietnamese knew that the Khmer Rouge did not. Killing the paramilitaries will not kill ordinary people. After learning of the Vietnamese plans, the Khmer Rouge troops had to meet the Armed Police, killing hundreds, leaving hundreds at the Battle of Samlot, Battambang.
You know that the struggle of the Khmer Rouge until Cambodia reached the Treaty of Paris, 23 October, how much they sacrificed fresh blood to delay foreign intervention. I would say that if the Khmer Rouge army did not help Wai delay, maybe Cambodia ended up with January 7, 1979 and lost to Kampuchea Krom, or as Champa and Laos are gone.
What can Khmer people in this generation do to keep this land free? Since our ancestors sacrificed greatly changed the lives sacrificed tens of thousands of troops to take care of the territory today. For me, just to encourage people to listen, observe, learn about politics, train human resources, explain to the people, surely to escape the Vietnamese ambition of wanting to swallow Cambodia when it was our unity. Finished.
